The Sandbag is an indestructible Obstacle in surviv.io. The sandbag is located in many areas including the Bridges, Greenhouse, and the Police Station. The sandbag is very helpful in defense as you can hide behind it and someone who is shooting at you won’t be able to deal any damage.
Strategies[]
- A good strategy while in an encounter with someone would be to hide behind the sandbag when you would need to heal.
- You can hide behind the sandbag and throw a Frag Grenade over it and it potentially could deal a large amount of damage to someone on the other side of the Sandbag.
Trivia[]
- Just like the Hedgehog, sandbags were used extensively in WWI, WWII, and more recent conflicts. Sandbags were used in war since at least the late 18th century.
- In WWI, sandbags were used very often for defense against shrapnel, small arms fire, etc., in trenches. After WWI ended, the use of sandbags became less common, but were still used extensively in WWII by troops who were in a defilade position or a trench. The Americans in WWII attempted to attach sandbags to their tanks as protection from anti-tank guns, but the strategy failed.
- Although they are fortifications for bullet protection, they are also used as dams to prevent flooding.
