The Beretta Model 92, or Beretta M9, known as the M9 in-game, is a semi-automatic 9mm Pistol in surviv.io.
Info
The M9 is the most common (in most modes), and also one of the weakest weapons in the game. Sporting only 12 damage and a magazine size of 15, it is usually only viable early game and is still only slightly more effective when dual-wielded. However, the gun can shoot very fast if spam-clicking is utilized. The dual variant has a higher spread compared to a single M9. A single M9 has the second-fastest reload time behind a single P30L, making it a good choice for spamming. Despite being the most common weapon in the game, the M9 can rarely be found from higher-tier loot sources as a troll planted by the old Developers Justin and Nick.

Strategies
Using
- The M9 is typically only useful at gaining an advantage over unarmored players in the early stages of the game.
- Shooting the M9 while running up to them, preferably with adrenaline, and punching them is probably the most useful thing you can do with it.
- The dual M9 is a good quick-damage spray gun, but the G18C, MAC-10, and Vector are all better choices.
- If you find any other gun, it is recommended you replace it immediately.
- M9 and Dual M9 are most useful in close combat when most of the bullets can hit enemy players.
- However, against any other close-range gun it is outmatched.
- Because the M9 isn't any good, enemies may let down their guard, and you can switch to a much better gun and finish them quickly.
- Be as accurate as possible, due to the extremely low damage, missing a few shots can cost your life.
- Because of its low rarity, the M9 cannot be used as bait, and is not advised to do so.
- The M9 is much more effective on mobile where dual M9s can be a very powerful "spray-and-pray" gun since everything is full auto on mobile.
Countering
- Since the M9 is one of the weakest weapons in the game, it is easy to counter them. Almost any weapon can counter it, so don't be afraid to get into fights with an M9 user.
- Against M9 spammers, the best strategy is to just stay far away and let them run out of ammo, and when they are reloading, shoot them with a high damage weapon to kill them, due to the quick reload time, slower weapons are less effective.
- Most weapons are better than the M9, so in any situation you'll most likely win.
- If you do not have a weapon, the best strategy is to rush the Player and melee them. If you are low on health, run away.
