Hut

The interior of a standard Hut with three Pots

The Hut is a small Building found only on the Beach. It was added in the v0.4.2 "Sun's out, guns out" update.

Each Hut contains between one and five small Pots inside (the center one is guaranteed, while the other four has a 2/3 chance to be spawned). Golden Pots always contain the SPAS-12, and these only appear in Golden Huts, while Scout Huts always spawn a Scout Elite. Only one Gold Hut and one Scout Hut spawn per map; the other three are regular huts.

Loot

In each Hut, there is always 1-4 standard Pots in the corners, with a bonus Pot in the middle for each Hut variant:

• Normal Pot (Standard Hut)
• Gold Pot (Golden Hut)
• Green Pot (Scout Hut)

Strategies

• You can hide in a Golden Hut, as players will come hoping to get the SPAS-12, and when they do, ambush them, using the gun’s high burst damage.
• The inside of the Hut is fully hidden from view until entering. If you're inside the Hut, you can ambush those entering with a Shotgun. However, the other survivrs can see when the Scout Hut has already been looted, and will probably not enter.
  • If you want to go looting some more, throw a Mine at the entrance. When a survivr walks in, the Mine will explode, damaging and hopefully killing them.
• If you're entering the Hut, move a little to the side of the entrance so you can still see in, but have the cover of the wall in case someone is waiting inside.
• Another idea is to throw a cooked Grenade into the Hut, as the Hut is small enough that the Grenade will hit whatever is inside.
• The best way to loot a Hut is to throw 2 Grenades inside, one will destroy all pots, the second will blow the entire Hut up.

Trivia

• The Golden Hut used to have the Island Time skin, until the Scout Hut was introduced, where the Island Time skin was transferred to spawn in the Scout Hut.
• The Hut can be completely destroyed by knocking down the walls, which will bring down the roof as well.
