Caches are a secret feature that releases loot when destroyed and looks slightly different to the normal obstacle it closely resembles. Initially, the Stone cache was released in the v0.4.2 update "Sun's out, guns out" on June 21, 2018. Later, the Tree cache was added. They both have the same decal underneath it, which is the surviv symbol as a compass rose. When actively aware or looking for them, they are not too hard to spot - both have a bit of the decal pointing out of the sides. They are also slightly darker than a standard object if they are mimicking one. All Caches are 2 part structures, with most being the item that drops loot and a decal. The pumpkin and jack-o-lantern's decal is a pulsing light decal, while the other decals are initiative decals. The bush caches are the bush and a loot spawner below them. The loot that the obstacle leaves when broken or the loot spawner is the loot that the cache yields.

Stone Cache[]

The Stone Cache, commonly known as the Loot Rock is one of the caches in the game. It is the first cache to be added. Also, it has a darker color and faint grey spikes that can be discernible(like the Barrel Cache). The Rock Cache drops:

This is the only way to obtain the AK-47 in the Woods Map.

Savannah Stone Cache[]

The Savannah Stone Cache is the Savannah variant of the Stone Cache. Their appearance are the same, but the stone drops an M39 EMR and an item from Tier Perks instead of an AK-47.

Tree Cache[]

The Tree Cache is the second cache added into the game. It is much easier to find, due to the darker color of the tree. The Tree Cache drops:

This is one of the only ways to obtain a Sniper Rifle in the Woods Map, the other being an AWM-S from a Hardstone Block.

Savannah Tree Cache[]

The Savannah Tree Cache is the Savannah variant of Tree Cache, only spawning in the Savannah Map. They are largely the same, but the tree image is the Savannah Tree instead of Normal Tree.

Leaf Pile[]

The Leaf Pile was added in the v0.6.3 "Into the woods" update. It spawns in Woods and Halloween maps. It technically is a cache in the code as it spawns the bush and the loot spawner under it.

Pumpkin Cache[]

The Pumpkin was added in the Spookiversary update and spawn on Halloween Maps. It is a cache with a light decal under it rather than a loot spawner (bushes) or Initiative Decal (others). The light pulses, and remains even when destroyed.

Jack-o'-Lantern Cache[]

The Jack-o-Lantern was added in the Spookiversary update and spawn on Halloween Maps. It is a cache with a light decal under it rather than a loot spawner (bushes) or Initiative Decal (others). The light pulses, and remains even when destroyed. It is almost identical to the Pumpkin, but spawns more loot.

Berry Bush[]

The Berry Bush was added in the "Turkey shoot" update. It spawns in most maps. It technically is a cache in the code as it spawns the bush and the loot spawner under it. It is identical in loot spawns to the Leaf Pile.

Barrel Cache[]

The Barrel Cache was added in the Community Collage update. It is distinguishable from a normal Barrel due to its special markings around it and its darker color, much like the Tree Cache. It explodes like a normal Barrel, thus, it is recommended to explode the barrel from a distance. The Barrel Cache drops:

Crate Cache[]

The Crate Cache was added in the Perks of being a survivr update. It is found only on the Cobalt Map on the very edge. It contains a recorder, which has log 13. The Crate drops normal loot.

Recording[]

That's all you need to know, comrade. The process — it works.

Trivia[]

  • At the Savannah update and some time later, Rock Cache was the only way to get perks in Normal Mode. This was probably an oversight and was removed in an update.
  • The decals previously were able to face different directions.
