Strategies[]

Using[]

  • Run at a player while cooking a grenade. If you let the grenade explode in your hand while you are on top of the opponent, they will be downed or killed while you take less than 40% damage.
    • At the same time, this strategy can be used to scare away any followers.
  • While running away throw grenades in front of you to lose or slow down opponents.
  • Lure people into Bunkers or any enclosed places and when they enter, throw a grenade and run outside and guard the exit with a high DPS gun. They then have a choice to die to a gun or to a grenade.
  • Since you have the perk Fabricate, you will immediately have a very useful weapon.
  • Late game, a good strategy is to throw many Smoke Grenades so they cover the entirety of the map not covered with the red zone, and fill that area with Frag Grenades and MIRV Grenades, and you won't take very much damage, and you have a good chance to knock out, kill, or force your enemies to go to the high damaging Red Zone where you can easily gun them down.
  • Being big means a bigger target for enemies, so if you know you're going to die, throw all your grenades around you so that when you die, the grenades will blend in with your items, hopefully combined with Martyrdom, will be able to kill the enemy while they gather your loot.
  • Use your Frag Grenades to loot structures faster. Toss one (or two) onto every lootable object, then go punch something else while the Grenades work their magic. Try to maintain distance from the Grenades if possible.
  • You have unlimited Grenades. Toss several before engaging in actual combat. These can serve as distraction, your opponent may be too focused on dodging the grenades to effectively counter you. Or, your opponent may forget about them as you fight them and get blown up.
    • In a squad, try letting your squadmates engage in the firefighting while you casually lob explosives at your enemies. Chances are, the enemy won't pay your grenade cooking any mind as they focus on the more pressing matter at hand: the bullets flying at their face.
  • Throw a Grenade at every entrance or exit to a building whenever you pass through one. While there is a low chance it will kill anybody, it might flush any campers hiding.
  • Since you have unlimited grenades, you can give them to your teammates as your grenade stock will be replenished quickly enough to you engage in a fight.

Countering[]

  • The Demo is easier to counter as it has no direct combat improvements besides the Flak Jacket's 10% damage reduction from all sources.
  • The Flak Jacket perk makes Demo players slightly bigger which improves the chances of them being hit.
  • A Demo's explosive playstyle are easily negated by other Demos since they too have Flak Jacket.
  • Very few players know how to use grenades properly, so don't expect Demos to be a treat like other classes such as the Assault or Tank.

Trivia[]

  • The Demo actually has the Martyrdom Perk but it doesn't show it. This means the Demo has 3 starter perks. It is the only class to have three starter perks.
  • The Demo class makes the Player bigger, but not as big as the Tank. This can be a problem in a fight as you are a larger target for your enemy to hit you.
    • This is only because having the Flak Jacket Perk increases your size by 10%.
  • "Demo" is probably short for "Demolition".
