The effect of the Bugler when the Bugle is played

The Bugler is a Role added in the v0.8.81 "Sound the charge" 50v50 game mode added on December 15, 2019. Each round, 1 player from both red and blue team will randomly be chosen to become a Bugler. When promoted to the Bugler, you get two Perks, Inspiration, and Last Breath, as well as the Bugle which gives your teammates nearby a speed boost.

Strategies[]

Using[]

  • If you let your bugle to be equiped on the first slot (by pressing t) and become the lone survivr, you will still have your bugle and you can use it for ONLY ONE time.
  • Always stay near your teammates, since the bulk of your perks are only useful when allies are close.
  • When you use the Bugle, you and nearby allies will get a speed boost for a few seconds, use this to your advantage.
  • Once you use the Bugle, swap out to your other gun or melee weapon, as after you fire the Bugle you will be slowed for a short amount of time.
  • If death is inevitable, try to get the nearest possible of your teammates, so when you die, The Last Breath perk is activated, granting several buffs to your allies.
  • Since the Bugle permanently occupies one of your weapon slots, make sure the one firearm you do carry is a reliable weapon you can use at all ranges, and that you won't quickly run out of ammo for it.
    • The MP5 is a great pick if you have no better options. It has an excellent balance of damage, range, accuracy, firerate and reload speed, and its 9mm ammo is extremely easy restock.
  • If you're unlucky with no teamates on your sides and a few enemys is going to ambush you, use the Bulge and then quickswitch to the melee and then rushing into them. Alternative if you have low hp, dodge the bullets or run away instead of rushing into them. This will trick the enemys without a good scope and you will have some time to escape. The scenario is even better when you're in a building or you have >50% adrenaline.

Countering[]

  • Technically the Bugler only has one gun slot (the second one is always replaced by the Bugle) and because of this he/she can carry only one gun, making reloads more frequent and lowering the chance of the Bugler defending himself/herself with success.
  • Although the Bugler uses an exclusive armor, the level of defence is the same as the full Level 3 gear, so don't be afraid of fighting an enemy Bugler just because him/her uses an unique armor.
  • Remember that the Bugler is never alone, so instead of mindlessly charging at them, call for reinforcements. If you aren't the Commander just call your teammates, who will probably help you if they are still alive.
